When Dory was a child she and her parents lived in the Open Ocean exhibit at Marine Life Institute in Morro Bay, California. Marlin used Crush to help them get to California to help Dory find her family.

Dory remembered that she lived in California.

Unfortunately, her parents moved after she disappeared. After Dory got them out of the touch tank at the kids zone, Hank was able to get Dory into the Open Ocean exhibit.

Hank used a child's stroller with Dory in a sippy cup to take him and Dory to the Open Ocean Exhibit.

As the boat took off, Bloat (voiced by Brad Garrett) was heard repeating his line from "Finding Nemo", "Now what?" As they were enjoying their freedom, the boat from Marine Life Center picked them up and took them to quarantine.
